"Enough what?" "I had to bring it up, Sherine." The Trail We were in Wadi Hof, the northern part, near Rudie’s cave for Hash 1409. It was a windy, sandy and extremely warm afternoon. Your scribe was with the runners, as we headed down into and across the smallish side wadi to the north of the RV. The FRBs were soon returning from a back Czech and we ran back west along the wadi floor to the first cheque, where we encountered lots of flies, which had probably hatched today because of the hot weather. There were plenty of wild dogs howling in the distance — who knows what they might have caught if they’d bitten your scribe? From there, we encountered a running checc, before scrambling up the steep, northern side of the wadi, passing two unexploded mortars, which looked a bit like a couple of large, inflated-with-a-bicycle-pump dog poohs. The cars were visible on top, as were the walkers, by now a surprisingly long way to the northeast of us on a high ridge. There was a falsie, as we headed on and up in the direction of the walkers. But your scribe was running too slowly to keep up with the pack, so he ended up strolling back towards the wadi with the walkers. We passed three more rusty mortars, as well as two runners’ FTs. It appears that the run today must have been shaped like a figure of eight or a spiral. Anyway, the walk took about 1 hour 20 mins, the run a little less. By the way, the Hash team narrowly lost against Maadi House on Wednesday night. The Circular Shout Up With Hugh J. Nuss being down in Al-Ain Al-Sukhna, Rudie takes responsibility for the Circle, punishing the Hares and then Bad Lay, who was late signing in and also had egg on his chin. He gets the aluminium Pisser, while Canadian Chris (Mother Pucker) is furnished with a brewski for signing out Heidi Analis, along with Tassie, who didn’t sign in at all. And when two Hares drink! Wimpy sneakers or chunky paratroopers’ boots, I don’t care. All that matter is if they’re new. And now Good In Bed gives some other beautiful girls a bit of practice in the ‘4Skin Song’, namely Gigi, Sherine, Cookie, D. Floured, Alison and another new lady. After that, we give Sherine more soda for drinking out of her right hand. She’s joined by old man Cream Off, Christian Enge and German Thomas. Over to Frau Hund, who invites Useless to partake of the aluminium Pisser for last week’s dog bite horror. It was a German Shepherd wot munched him, so Good To The Last Drop also receives a bevy, along with Ken Davies (for being witty), Athletic Supporter (how could your scribe dare omit her name as one of the Hares in Trash 1408?), Frau Hund herself and Castrati, not to mention our dog owners — Cookie, Over The Fanny, Upside Ben Doone, D. Floured, Bad Lay (!) and Barbie. And now those fold who ain’t had any refreshments today are punished: Adam (son of Rick), Adam (son of Ken), Tit For Tat, The Sheriff Of Nottingham, Black Widow, Puss In Boots and Rick Gould. We give them a blast of ‘My Bonnie’. The beer continues to flow to the last drop for Good To The Last Drop (it will soon be her last drop as next week is her last Hash, boo hoo — she gets the aluminium Pisser she kindly bought for the Hash), our golf heads Bottleneck and Bam-Bam, Rude Yard (the Pisser) and Bad Lay, who gets his fifth down-down, a record for him. We sing them ‘We Go Hashing’ and finally the Hares get more Saqqara for the cars being visible from the first running checc, while Rudie and Castrati round us off with ‘Schwing Lowe’.
