Cairo H3: Gathering 1410 Runners: Idiots Walkers: Wankers Kids: Several + One pre-toddler Dogs: 8 at least This week we were in Upper Wadi Digla at the newly built Visitor’s Center. Hares: Good to the Last Drop (GttLD); Whore House Hotel (WH2); Bad Bastard (BB); Pissed N Broke (PnB); EZ Wife of Brian (EZ); Hugh J. Nuss (HjN) and visitor hare Virgin Captain (VC). VC thanks for jumping off your yacht, haring and then flying home. Next time stay longer and buy some drinks. Seriously, buy some drinks. Sadly today was GttLD’s last Cairo HASH. Work calls her to Vietnam where soon she will be supplying fresh water to the locals of the MeKong Delta. GttLD and her co-hares arrived on site, on time, at 12 and she had laid her battle plan. BB, most recently of the Royal Navy, could not help but take the opportunity to tease the ever efficient German GttLD while WH2; PnB and EZ sought shade to shelter their hangovers. HjN and VC busied themselves attending to various pressing business matters and avoided the fray. Today’s trails crossed, crissed and crossed themselves over and over again and before it was done the walk hares had become run hares, run hares had run out of flour and walk hares had sodded off back to the shade. The largish pack arrived at 3 and it was all normal hashing from there on out. This week’s scribe skipped going on trail and napped in his car instead. Before dozing he managed to meet Doggie Style’s Mom, the lovely Joyce Mother of John and Aunt Shirley who claimed to only be a Cousin. Check back next week as Aunt Shirley was heard to say her kids would love to meet HjN! Is romance in the air? One runner complained that he couldn’t follow the flour as possibly VC put the blobs to far apart. Boo-Hoo-Hoo for you. Many walkers complained there was too much: Shiggy; Shade and Dog Shite on trail. I suspect that there might have been one of those things but not all three. The circular shout up. Many visitors this week. Far too many to remember them all. Christian from Milan stands out. Big wanker for an Italian. One suspects he has some German ancestors. The GM didn’t even dream of making any jokes about Italian army tanks having more reverse gears than forward gears. Doug and Ginny from Scotland and their daughter Megan (maybe it wasn’t Megan but she’s a kid so who cares) were also memorable. Who else, who else??? It is amazing Useless can stand this job of remembering and note taking each week. There were definitely no topless babes. That I’d remember. Speaking of Useless, he, Greased Palm, Cream Off and Hani did not make it to this weeks HASH. Not enough cars passed the ACE Club and these four explorers didn’t fetch a ride. Funny, all four speak fluent Arabic and they couldn’t get a taxi!!!! Maybe only speaking English does have advantages. It’s called Money. Back to the circle. BB saved the Down-Down ceremony by politely supplying the drinking vessels. Seems Useless had the mugs with him back at the ACE Club so this week we drank from BB’s empty pickle jar collection. The things HASHers keep in their boots. I’d hate to see the junk in his trunk. A lot of people got down down’s this week including the stand-in scribe. Before blacking out I remember GttLD drinking copious numbers of down-downs all in tribute to her fine HASH style. I’ve lost track but I think she single handedly produced over ten different HASH shirts in a three year period, served as HASH Cash; HASH Flash and most recently HASH Graphic Artist. You will be missed kid. Charlie won’t know what hit him when you get off the plane. The GM received several down-downs for having once fornicated with GttLD and of course all the Germans bellied up to the bar. BB led the congregation in a rendition of his Schula Song and the RA; Gorilla’s in the Mist handed out much punishment for the usual trivial offences. Even BottleNeck forsake his Dutch ancestors and jumped on the German bandwagon to get a free drink of beer. Sadly this was Erick and Eva’s last HASH. They either received a down-down for leaving so soon after arriving or for just being Mexican. Any excuse will do. Hope they didn’t steal any of the empty pickle jars. At some point the intrepid Kevin who looks like Matthew’s younger, more handsome brother, demonstrated how to drink out of this HASH’s newest torture device. Seems to be all about having long fingers, Kentucky windage and not dropping the mug on your head. Parents without kids are much luckier. Let’s hope the money is used to purchase soap. Kids are bad enough but dirty kids are really horrible. What else, what else. Tobias had more women with him than he could fit in his car; Ann (e) has almost completely decided the GM is a perv; Hair-Brain got his mother’s Mercedes stuck on a sand pile (thought I didn’t see that didn’t you); Rachel gave the Galabaya to someone but I forgot who and the Chain of Pain was given by Hell-If-I-Remember to Hell-If-Know. Marissa twisted her ankle getting out of a car, Blow-Out supplied the First Aid and Upside Been Doone came stag. Ah yes, without Tattoo’d Tits to pour the beer Steve (BadLay) RosyCheeks jumped in and with Charlotte’s help poured the down-downs. Thanks kids. Charlotte your hat is in my car babe.
