We were at the Bunker's Site Hash 1451, having recovered from all the excitement of the US primaries in the Granite State. Will Barack or Hillary clinch it in November or even someone else? In fact, we were at a slightly different spot from usual, to the right of the side road off the long, quiet road that links the Ain Sukhna and Suez roads. It was sunny but cold and there was a good turnout. Your scribe was with the walkers this week, heading east to the first cheque over a lot of stony stuff. By now it was very cold, as we continued in a circular fashion southeastwards. There was a second Czech, passing near some small buildings and soon we were back at base after a walk of 50 minutes, while the run too a little less. Uncle Wes had prepared a nice log fire to warm us all up back at the RV.

Spoilt Little Bratwurst launches the Circle, punishing the Hares and also Shereen, Patrick and Nabil, being followed by the newcomers: Castin (an Embassy official) and Andy from Germany; UK Dave; Amy and Alex from the Big Apple; Imar from Illinois; Helen from New Zealand; and Steve from Leeds, working at Carrefour. Over to our new Hash List, the delectable Athletic Supporter, who calls up a slew of non-signers-inners: Baywatch Babe, Farcker, Pet Shop Boy, Hashram, Miss Saigon, Old Dirty Basket and Incomplete (and when one Hare drinks!). Then more non-signers-inners make it back from the walk, strolling into the Circle. Yes, it's Bosom From Brussels and her Bosom pals! Over to Mr and Mrs Dog, who distribute Committee leavers' plates to Athletic Supporter and Spoilt Little Bratwurst, who, upon their recent resignations, were immediately re-elected to very important posts on the aforementioned Committee of our illustrious and prestigious athletics club.

After they had drunk a mixture of Sakkara and Elephant (this beer proved very popular today) from their splendid plates, Paul, our oil executive, is punished for having underwear in the boot of his car, located by Miss Saigon. We sing them 'Fun in the Sun', spearheaded by Alpha B, whose husband and Serafina (she sings like a seraphim) lead us in a rendition of two memorable songs from that unforgettable musical South Pacific: 'There is Nothing Like a Dame' and 'I'm going to wash that Man right out of my Hair'. Their singing was excellent: maybe they should give up their day jobs. And now a down-down in the form of dog biccies is given by Mrs Dog to all the pups here today: Bogie, Ella, Bandit and Herr und Frau Hund's canine quartet. Eat it down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down. The way they wolfed those snacks, it wasn't a case of 'Why are we Waiting?' And finally, Stuart, today's new Hare and a top geophysicist with 'Centurion', receives the splendid Handle I Couldn't Get Him To Come, before we all toddle back to Maadi, where the On-On was held at Dragon House. On-On!!
