The Trail

We were in the Wadi Digla Protectorate for Hash 1478, parking outside the entrance. Your scribe bottled out of the run and paid LE5 along with the other walkers to head into the wadi. Meanwhile, the runners headed the other way, along the tarmac road that leads back to Maadi. They then climbed up onto the northern cliffs and charged back east along them into the wadi, high above the entrance. Anyway, we walkers headed up the southern cliffs and somehow, despite the dearth of lentils, found the way to go, eastwards along the cliff tops to the first cheque. We then carried on the second checq, before many people scrambled back down the cliffs into the wadi where the first RV on the right is as you drive into the Protectorate. Your scribe, Cucking Funt (one of the Hares) and Comes Quietly headed further along the cliffs and came down further along. We then headed back to base, past the new tree, with those fit runners soon overtaking us. The run took 1 hour 30 mins, the walk 1 hour 45 mins this week.

Hugh J. Nuss kicks the Circle into gear, punishing the Hares, after which our visitors are punished - Snow White (Virginia, not Arbil) who has two children and used to Hash here a decade ago, and Freddie, the Hamburg Sex Bomb's son. Freddie is dating a girl called Yasmine, so Charlotte's daughter, Yasmine, joins him in sympathy for a drink, and we sing them 'Why were they Born?'. After them, Wim, Finneke, Charlotte's son, Melon F***er and Erect Runner indulge in beverages, to the dulcet tones of the 'Roll Back' song. They are followed by relatively short Hashers - Comes Quietly, Snow White (not Arbil), Tit For Tat, Wing Nut, Athletic Supporter, Pussy Wig, Renate and Charlotte - before Athletic Supporter takes the helm, inviting this week's non-signers-inners to partake of the glorious Sakara: Useless (!), Cracker and Wim. Meanwhile, Austrian Werner and Melon F^^^er are hauled up for gallantly offering to make salads for Hash 1480.

And now for something new: we turn our backs, as Austrian Werner gets a d-d for drinking out of his right hand and Melon F^^^er joins him in sympathy, before we bid a tearful farewell to popular Hashette Tit For Tat, who's soon off to her next assignment in Pakistan. She invites several young (!) men to have a down-down with her: Useless, Cucking Funt, Pussy Wig, Erect Runner and Easy Ride Hare. Today, we also started recycling beer cans for charity and this week's champion can crushers are now suitably rewarded: Melon F^^^er, Lou Borough Qunt, Easy Ride Hare, Black And Peck Her, Wim and Augustin. So that was, before we headed back to Maadi with the On-On at Dragon House. On-On!!
