CairoHash guide for visitors
Cairo Hash hashes every Friday, usually about 2 hours before sunset.
It is walker, ugly, fancy, fine, dumb, (well behaved)-pet and kid(ish)
friendly.
To get to a Lift to a Cairo Hash or to follow in your own car!:
THE ACE CLUB PICKUP POINT: 1 hour before the Hash start time on
Friday It is almost always 1 Hour before that day's Hash
Go to the standard 'pick-up' point, an hour before the Hash is to start: If
you take Port Said road into Maadi, the Port Said road crosses some RR tracks,
then you face a midan (round-about), go around exactly 90 degrees and you will
see a dark blue truck with black uniformed Police there, under some shady
trees, in front of the ACE CLUB - stand near them and Road 216 so cars driving
down Road 216 can see you on the curb.
The entrance to Victory College red brick wall around the baseball field is on
the far left as you look at the Police and the entrance (under the shady
trees) to the ACE Club. Road 216 bisects those 2 landmarks - ACE CLUB and
Victory college entrance to ball field. That is the road hashers will follow
to get out into the desert. Good luck. LOOK FOR THIS PAINTED MARKER:
